Nutrition - Quick and Healthy Breakfast Ideas

We’re obsessed with healthy breakfast suggestions for kids here at Elizabeth Street. In the end, the meal is supposedly the most crucial one of the day. And you don’t wish to just let the kids run out the doorway with a handful of Fruit Loops. (You are able to reserve them for yourself though, if you’re feeling naughty.) You've got little bellies to give and it’s best to start their slow days right. How to do it? We have been picking out healthy breakfast ideas for sometime now. Flip through the slideshow or see below to obtain some of our favorite breakfast recipes.

Breakfast Ideas - Fruits Galore

A proper breakfast consists of fruit, that is an excellent source of fiber. It's a good idea to stock up on fiber very first thing in the morning to help keep your body running efficiently for the rest of the day. Try dicing all your fave fruits to create a fresh fruit salad, and eat out of the box or add yogurt, honey or almonds for additional flavor and crunch. You may also use fruit as a topping for almost everything, from cereal and instant oatmeal to pancakes and waffles.

Breakfast Ideas - Quick Spreads
Pop a slice of wholegrain bread or bagel in the toaster and top with cheese and apple, pear slices, cream cheese with sliced bananas, berries or raisins. If you are in a real hurry, wrap among the toppings in a flour tortilla to make a breakfast burrito.

Breakfast Ideas - Get Crackin'

Here is a creative breakfast idea, but you will need an adult to help you out. Using a standard, take the center out of a bit of bread (choose whole wheat or multigrain over white) and put the holey bread in a hot pan. Crack an egg and put it in the hole from the bread. Cook until the egg is placed and the bread is toasted golden brown.

Breakfast Ideas - Fruity Smoothies

Smoothies are among the easiest - not to mention yummiest - healthy breakfast choices. You don't need to add sugar because fruits contain natural sugars that'll sweeten your drink.
