Lemon

There is no better natural bleaching agent than lemon. Cut out a small part of lemon and rub it onto your face in circular motion. Allow the juice to rest for at least 30 minutes. Later you may wash of using lukewarm water. Do this daily for best results. But you must also bear in mind that lemons can dry out the skin. So, always apply some honey onto your face after trying out this remedy to lock in some moisture.

Gram flour

This is one of the best remedies. It will not only lighten your complexion, but also keep blackheads away. It will also remove excess oils yet maintains the moisture of your skin. Make a fine paste out of two tablespoons of gram flour and some rose water. Add in rose water until thick paste is formed. Later rub this all over your face and let it sit for 30 minutes before rinsing off. It is advisable for you to repeat this at least thrice in a week.

Papaya

Its sweetness and rich flavor itself makes it hard to resist. But here is more, it actually whitens your skin. Eating papaya daily can give you a lighter complexion and add some glow to your skin. You can also make a mask out of it. Crush two slices of papaya and add in some lemon juice. Spread evenly onto your face and wait for 20 minutes before washing it off.

Carrot

Mix carrot juice to a teaspoon of honey. Apply on the face and neck. Leave it for 20 minutes. Finally wash your face with water mixed with plain soda.

Potato juice

Not only does it whiten your skin, it also rids dark circles and eye bags when applied under eyes. Blend a potato and squeeze its juice out. Later apply it onto your face using a cotton ball or a facial cotton. Apply evenly and leave it on until it dries. Rinse and cleanse your face with a mild soap. Potato juice is also known for its moisturizing properties.

Honey and Almond 

Honey and almond work wonderfully for skin whitening if applied together. They moisturize skin as well as remove all sun tan. You can make this mask easily. Just mix 1 tsp of honey, 1 tsp of milk powder, half tsp of almond powder or oil and 1 tsp of honey. Mix them and make a paste. Apply it for 15-20 minutes and then rinse off with normal water.

Oatmeal, Yogurt, and Tomato

Besides improving the health of your digestive system, oatmeal can help you get smoother and more radiant skin. It soothes and lightens the skin. To use oatmeal for skin whitening, you can mix it with yogurt and tomato juice or pulp. Take 1 teaspoon each of oatmeal, yogurt, and tomato juice, and make a paste. Apply the paste on your face, keep it for about half an hour, and then wash your face with lukewarm water. This mask is really effective in removing dead skin cells and sun tan.
